For Me?!?!?

Reason 1,000,000,000,000 why I love my husband......

Isaac's 3rd Birthday Party

The time for Isaac's party has finally come! And it WON'T. STOP. RAINING! Isaac wanted to have his party at the park but it was scheduled to rain so we moved it to the house. Thank goodness the rain held off and the kids were able to play outside on the swingset. We didn't have a super big party....just invited a couple of friends and lots of family.

The cupcakes I slaved over for hours....ok, not really but I did make them!

Isaac and partners in crime, Gage Thomas & Caden Smith

Here are all the kids that came to the party (minus Gage & Griffin who didn't want to be photographed :-))

Blake was visiting his dad but got to come to party a little later. :-)

Isaac is so funny trying to blow out his candles....he blows up! His hair moves but the flame on the candles doesn't move at all! Ha!

Present time!!

Isaac got lots of awesome gifts! Mamaw & Papaw got him "Woody" Mr. Potato Head & "Buzz Lightyear" Mr. Potato Head.....big hit!

Aunt Bekah and the boys got him the Buzz Lightyear Alien Fishing game...along with Toy Story 3 fruit snacks! :-)

Nan and Pop got him a Pirate Water Table which he loves. He says that he is Jake and Hannah is Izzy (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates on Disney).

They had a blast playing outside.....so glad the rain held off!

Well, another year gone for birthday parties but next year will be here all too soon!

Isaac is 3!!!!!!

What better way to celebrate your birthday than a nap, right? Isaac turned 3 on April 24th, Easter Sunday! We went to the early service at our church then raced to Paris to attend church with Mamaw & Papaw. We made it right on time. After church and lunch Isaac was exhausted so he took a nap....I just can't believe this sweet face is already turning 3.

Isaac picked out a white "funfetti" cake for his birthday cake. We forgot to bring matches and Mom didn't have any so we had to pretend to blow out candles. He seemed very confused. Ha!
He always gets so embarrassed when we sing "Happy Birthday" to him...such a sweet look on his face. He makes me smile!

He opened some presents from Mamaw & Papaw...they got him these 2 Pop-Up books. They are super cute and he loves to read them.

Isaac enjoyed his cake and milk.......

.....as we all did! Can you see the icing on Hannah's mouth???

I am so thankful for my kids. Some days I think I can't take much more but I am beyond blessed! I am amazed that God picked me out to be the mom to these two wonderful kids. I only pray that I can be the mom God has called me to be!

Birthday Trip to Monkey House

Wow! I'm waaaaay behind on posting this but better late than never! Isaac's birthday weekend fell on Easter. Yes, I agree that Easter was way too late this year! Anyway, we decided to hold off one weekend to have his party but wanted to make his birthday weekend special. His most favorite place in the world to go is the Monkey House. We invited our cousins and met at the Monkey House for lots of fun!

Hannah, Caedmon, Isaac & Jordan

These sweet girls are such good friends. I am so thankful we live so close now!

Here's the BIRTHDAY BOY!!!

And then he was off! There was no containing him at this point. He runs and slides and runs and slides until you drag him out kicking and screaming!

He stopped for a quick pose. :-)

Isaac has the best cousins ever.....even though he is little, the big boys just love him so much and play with him so well. Caedmon followed Isaac anywhere he wanted to go. He is growing into such an amazing young man!

Mamaw and Papaw even came over to enjoy the festivities....and they got on the bounce-arounds too! I think they had fun but said it was hard work!

Here is Isaac & his Papaw

The only thing that would have made this trip better is if Blake, Bryant & Brady (and Aunt Bekah of course!) could have been there with us. The older the kids get the harder it is to be all together for everything.

Janet Huckabee Nature Center

The 1st grade at East Pointe went to the Janet Huckabee River Valley Nature Center on Good Friday this year. Hannah wanted us to come along so Isaac and I met her class there. It was pretty difficult with him since he is too big for a stroller and too little to want to pay attention. I ended up chasing him around and not getting to spend any time with Hannah. However, Hannah seemed ok with that. I got a few pictures but not many.

Here is Isaac laughing at the ducks splashing in the water. He loved them!

Here is Hannah learning about rocks and fossils. She tells me her favorite part of school is science and math. I hope she continues to love both of those subjects....her mommy hated them with a passion!

They made fossils with playdough.

Love this girl!

The kids were asked to look around and see if they could find the animals that had been hidden. It showed the kids how well the animals blend in with their surroundings.

Overall we had a good time. It was pretty hot (especially when you are trying to contain a 3 year old by carrying him around!) but the kids seemed to have a wonderful time. I had packed Isaac a lunch because the plan was to go to Ben Geren for lunch and playtime with Hannah. However, our plans changed. Isaac and I ran some errands and went home while Hannah got to go have lunch and play with her friends at the park. She was happier this way.....Isaac was getting on her nerves!

Childrens Choir Easter 2011

This is Hannah's 2nd year in Childrens Choir and she LOVES it. They have an amazing director, Mrs. Rayell Barbry. You can certainly tell the she loves children and loves to teach them to sing to our Savior! The did a great job on their Easter program.

Here is Isaac and Brian waiting for the show to start.

I don't have many pictures because my tall girl Hannah is in the back! But here are a few.

This is Mrs. Tammy Bull. She teaches Hannah on Wednesday nights at Kidmo. Hannah loves her so much and Mrs Tammy is, well, AMAZING. She sends Hannah cards and goes out of her way to make each child feel special. I love that she comes to see the kids perform and encourages them.

I can't say enough how thankful I am that God led my family to First Baptist Greenwood. The people are amazing and truly care about leading people to a love relationship with Jesus! Our church defintely practices what it preaches.

Living Proof LIVE!

A few weekends ago I had the opportunity to go to Little Rock and see Living Proof LIVE. Let me just say AMAZING! I love Beth Moore bible studies and even the live Simulcast she does every year.....but to hear her and see IN PERSON the passion she has for God's Word and helping others understand it? It just amazes me. Not to mention I love Travis Cottrell too and he led the worship all weekend. I didn't want to carry my big heavy camera in to the conference so I just took some pictures of us before we left and on the way in to Little Rock on Saturday morning.

Jasmin, Kristin, Jennifer, Megan, Rebekah, Mom & Crystal

We stayed at Jennifer Boone's house.....thank you Jennifer!!! Jennifer is a very dear friend of my sisters and is just a great lady!

Not a good picture (of me!) but proof that I was there!!!

Jasmin, Crystal and Mom

I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed the conference but I loved every bit as much getting to spend time with my friends and family. We bonded and had a great time with each other. I am very saddened when I hear about families that can't stand to be in the same room. That is not my experience at all.....and I thank God for my mom and sisters!!
