Kindergarten Fun Day!

Today, Wednesday May 26, 2010, was Kindergarten Fun Day at Westwood Primary. They had 4 different bounce-around type things and the kids had a BLAST! Hannah was absolutely worn out by the time her class was finished playing. She asked if I could just check her out so she could go home and take a nap because P.E. wore her out today! Ms. Morgan also told me she asked if they were going to have rest time today because she was just tired! She is too funny. They were also getting sprayed with the water hose. For some of the kids, that was the best part! Ha! Hannah's favorite part was "getting sprayed with the water hose." The school could have saved some serious money! Ha.

I can't believe that Hannah is finished with Kindergarten and is now going to be in the 1st grade! Wow! This year has flown by. I am so proud of how great she has done. She is a smart girl and really cares about people. I pray her love for others stays with her forever. Thank you God for my wonderful & beautiful little girl!!

MOPS "End of the Year" Party

We had our MOPS "End of the Year" party today and had a great time! We played "2 Lies & a Truth" and also Dirty Santa (yes! I know it's May!). I got to bring home a gift card to Java House. Yummo! We also had the ladies from the Wednesday morning Bible study come over and hang out with us. I was unable to stay for the game with them (I had to get to Hannah's "Fun Day" at school) but had a great time visiting while we ate. Unfortunately I didn't snap any pictures with our guests. Below are some snap shots I got:

Tamara, Me and Jessica

Katie, Shaina, Emily & Sharon
Can't believe our year is over! I am praying for God to give us an even better year next year! Looking forward to summer playdates and planning meetings for 2010 - 2011!!

Last Gymnastics Practice

Hannah has decided she wants a break from gymnastics. Wow, it makes me sad to even type those words! She has been in gymnastics since her 3rd birthday. I'm sure that is why I feel such sadness.....I remember my little 3 year old in her precious tiny leotard running all over the floor and having her meltdowns on the beam. She has grown so much in the past 3 years. She had perhaps the best practice she has ever had today. She was so proud of herself....almost as proud as I was of her!

Here she is getting all stretched out.

Here is her hand stand.....I remember when this was just a "donkey kick"!

Part 1 of her handstand bridge up.......

....and part 2, the landing.

Backbend.....wish I was still this flexible.

Waiting in line.....

This is Hannah and her teacher Mrs. Tammy

Mrs. Tammy has done wonders with Hannah. She pushed her and that is what Hannah needs. I have the secret hope that Hannah will want a break for a few months but will ask to continue with gymnastics.....but more than my hope, I want Hannah to find something she LOVES and pursue that will all her heart!

New Responsibilites

Yesterday we went to the library and signed up for the summer reading program. Hannah also gave the lady at the library her information to get her very own library card. She was a little disappointed that she didn't get the card in her hand yesterday. However, when I checked the mail today, there was her letter! So after I picked her up from school we went to the library so she could get her actual card. She was so proud of that card and she begged me to check out one more book (although we had already checked out 8 books yesterday) so she could use her card. =) Of course I couldn't tell her no. She checked out "Cooking with the Cat in the Hat".

Here she is proudly showing off her library card.

She is just being silly in this picture.....crazy girl. =)

Another proud shot of her card.

I hope she always has this love of books. She would sit and read all day long if she could. I'm so glad my kids love books.

Kids Choir Concert

This past Sunday night was the Kids Choir concert. These girls were too cute! There were only 5 of them but oh. my. goodness! They sang so good! Thanks Mrs. Lauren and Mrs. Billie for teaching our girls to sing for the Lord! Below are just some pictures I got of their performance:

I love Kennedy's smile in all of these pictures. She truly had a smile the whole time!

These girls are just too sweet...folding their hands in prayer. There is nothing sweeter!

Addicted at 2?!?

With the help of my friend Melissa Real, I found an app for my iPod that Isaac can play....Baby Piano. He LOVES it! He goes in my room at least twice a day and gets my iPod bringing it to me to set up for him. He will sit still and play it for a while....which is amazing for my little stinky! Ha!
This morning while I was folding laundry he got my it and crawled up on my bed. He sat and played while I folded......can they really become addicted to an iPod at 2?? I guess so!

Oh yeah....and I'm not the only one who acts like they have an iPhone! =D
Hannah has lots of apps on my iPod too....I just haven't gotten any pictures of her playing it. I will though...we have a LONG summer ahead!

Mommy's Boy

I am afraid Isaac might be around women (aka Mommy!) too much! He came into the kitchen carrying Hannah's purse. Ha! The sad thing is he know exactly how to carry it! Oh, my sweet Mommy's boy!! =)

Isn't this just the sweetest face? Oh how I love this boy!

MOPS Guest Speaker

We had a guest speaker today at our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting. Kelly Stamps from Kelly's Korner. I'm sure those of you who blog know exactly who she is. She did an amazing job of reminding me (since I have very little time to scrapbook anymore) that it is very important for me to update my blog daily with the funny & sweet things my kids do. I can at a later time add these to a scrapbook and will actually have the memory correct! =) She was such a sweet lady and has an awesome testimony of faith regarding her daughter Harper's birth. This goes to show you that God can even use a girl from Arkansas to make a difference!! Thanks, Kelly, for giving us your time! And I have to say that I totally swiped this picture from Erin's blog....thanks girl! Ha!

By the way, this is the BEST Mops group ever!!!

Field Trip to Wild Things Farm

Hannah's kindergarten class went on a field trip to Wild Things Farm in Pocola, Oklahoma yesterday. I didn't have a babysitter for Isaac so I wasn't able to go with her. Instead Brian went with her. She was very excited to have daddy there with her. From what I hear she had a great time. My friend Monica took pictures for me since I wasn't able to be there. Thanks Monica!

Hannah and Brian petting a horse.

They went on a hayride...which I hear was very fun!

Daddy & Hannah on the hay ride.

Hannah and Kaylee
I'm glad she had such a good time and that she got to spend this time with her daddy. They have such a close relationship. It makes me very proud. It means so much to be married to a man that wants nothing more than to be a part of his kids lives. Thank you God for my husband!

Songwriter in the making?!?

Hannah came out of her room a couple of days ago to share with me the song she had written....now, let me share it with you! =)

"God is a boy because he is ours.
He is a good boy.
Some boys are mean but God is a nice boy.
Because He died for us and he created us because He loves us."

Not sure if I need to prepare myself for a future in songwriting.....but she sang it from the heart!

Teacher Appreciation Gift

Hannah has a friend that she met the very first day of school named Kaylee Dolan. When the girls introduced themselves to each other, Kaylee's mom and I introduced ourselves. Her name is Monica Dolan. We have developed a great friendship thru the school year....just like Hannah and Kaylee. She is an awesome lady! One day while the kids were playing we began discussing Teacher Appreciation Day and wondering what we were going to do for Ms. Morgan. After some brainstorming, we decided to do a canvas sign for Ms. Morgan....she didn't have one hanging by her classroom. The following pictures are what we ended up with. I was very proud of our work....and might I say, it looks great by her classroom door! =D
